Serie dramática de la cadena HBO creada por
Damon Lindelof (guionista de LOST “Perdidos”) basada en la novela
de Tom Perrota que también participa como guionista. Con un reparto
de lujo encabezado por Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler y Christopher
Eccleston.
Narra la vida de la población de
Mapleton, tras el suceso inexplicable de que un día desaparezca
repentinamente el 3% de la población mundial. El hecho de que ni la
ciencia ni la religión puedan entender lo sucedido cn los
desaparecidos, desestabiliza a toda la humanidad restante.
Duelo, rabia, superación, es en torno
a lo que gira The Leftovers. Una serie brillante, inquietante y
profunda .. lo que tanto echabamos en falta d un grande como
Lindelof.
Esta serie no puede faltar si se trata
de remarcar grandes Soundtracks, y es especialmente gracias al
compositor y pianista Max Richter, encargado de envolver en
melancolía y emotividad toda la atmósfera de la serie prestando
muchos de sus excelentes temas.
También es muy destacable el tema de los títulos compuesto por Dominik Hauser para la serie, que junto a las imágenes de fondo resulta una de las mejores cabeceras actuales.
